At Home Duck Productions it's our goal to make homes that are more ecologically sound.  Few people realize that it's possible to build homes and buildings that create more energy than they consume.  Nowadays "green building" is a catchphrase that can be heard in common speech, in newspapers and even on TV.  Unfortunately, most of this buzz relates to new products and is largely confined to green building materials, while ignoring green design.  Greener building materials are of course important, but environmentalism is not just about buying the latest product.  The amount of energy that a home consumes is determined largely by its design, and this not only says more about that homes impact on the environment, but also determines how much the homeowner will pay to stay comfortable.  As resources become scarce, the question of life-cycle costs becomes more and more important.
